Melodicas

Suzuki and Hohner created the Melodica in the early 1950s.

The Melodica has since been a success and an undeniably popular among amateur musicians and professionals.

Melodica is a wind musical instrument and with free-vibrating reeds, it is similar to the Harmonica.

In addition it features a keyboard, that can vary from one octave and a half, up to three octaves . The sound is made by blowing into the mouth of the instrument, usually located on the side of the keyboard.

The pressure exerted on any key, allows the air to pass through the chosen reed and sound as a note.

The Hohner , is available in several variations of 25 to 37 keys: different colours, small, lightweight, handy, and portable. The Melodica is a complete musical instrument, which has proven attractive to musicians from many different schools of music.

Still made in Japan, the Suzuki Melodicas represent a very wide range of models whose reliability and accuracy are recognised all over the world.

One of Suzuki’s models was voted the best Melodica by its users, saying “the keyboard is a treat, no excessive noise and three octaves to express myself in is great!!!”
