Vandoren Mouthpieces are exceptionally consistent in quality and are widely used by both amateur and professional players. With its soft but versatile tone, the Java T45 is ideal for jazz as well as classical music, or classical players who’d like to get started in jazz music. Java ebonite mouthpieces are suited to jazz, soul and funk. They’re similar in sound concept to a metal mouthpiece, with the comfortable feel of ebonite.

The T45 has a tip opening (1/100mm) of 235mm and a medium facing length.
Each mouthpiece is polished to a brilliant finish. The final adjustment of the facing is done by staged diamond cutting tools. The tolerances of 4/10,000 of an inch are so small that, to maintain precision, the table is not polished. Each mouthpiece is hand finished at the baffle, walls, and tip rail. Master craftsmen finish and adjust each mouthpiece to surpass the most critical examinations of professional musicians. The mouthpieces are polished one last time (except the facing area) to eliminate marks and imperfections. The Vandoren name is then stamped in gold on the mouthpiece along with the model number.

- Vandoren V12 2.5 - 3
- Vandoren Java Red 2 - 2.5 - 3
- Vandoren Java Green 2.5 - 3 - 3.5
- Vandoren ZZ 2.5 - 3 - 3.5
