Selmer Classic SD20 Ebonite Mouthpiece for Tenor Saxophone

New product

In 1885 Henri Selmer began making reeds, mouthpieces, and clarinets in Paris. Today, Selmer Paris is a leading manufacturer and the choice instrument of clarinet and saxophone professionals around the world. A fine roundness for this model with an optimised balance between flexibility, power and control. Less centred than S80 and S90, it offers more sound options and expressiveness. Designed in cooperation with the members of the DIASTEMA saxophone Quartet, it has the same inner design (round chamber), as the first Selmer Paris Soloist mouthpieces.

More info

Selmer’s mouthpieces have been recognised as some of the best in the world and have achieved huge worldwide sales.

The SD20 was designed in cooperation with the members of the Diastema Saxophone quartet. Much like the Soloist, this mouthpiece is equipped with a round chamber. As a result, the SD20 is less focused than the S80 and S90, with the perfect balance of flexibility, volume and control. It will allow the player to be very expressive with more sound options.

Selmer's Soloist is machined from ebonite, a hard rod rubber that results in exceptional stability.
