Hohner Marine Band Thunderbird
The Thunderbird is the latest model in the Marine Band line. This diatonic harmonica which features the laminated bamboo bed (patent pending) from the Crossover series, is tuned an octave below standard models.
Developed with Joe Filisko, reputed world-wide to be a "customiser" of instruments, the Thunderbird has been designed with a tapered ergonomic cover, avoiding the clashing of the reeds, especially in first octave. A new profiling gives them a clear and consistent response.
The box spring teeth and plate edges have been rounded for improved comfort whilst playing . This new instrument, which pays tribute to both Little Walter Jacobs and Kim Wilson of the "Fabulous Thunderbirds", is fully compatible with the Marine Band Crossover and the Marine Band Deluxe.
