The Major Diatonic harmonica is the most commonly used tuning for playing Blues, Rock, Country, Folk and Jazz. This is the traditional blues and rock harmonica tuning. Major Diatonic harps are produced by several manufacturers and all of these harmonicas have the exact same layout as the Lee Oskar Major Diatonic.

A high-end Harmonica designed for playing blues, rock, country, reggae, and Jazz!

In 1983 Oskar founded a company to make high-end harmonicas. These instruments can play many styles of music, from blues to folk, through to jazz or rock.

These harmonicas are designed to be able to change the plate very easily, allowing for the preservation of the box spring and the covers by only replacing the plates.

Lee Oskar was born in Copenhagen in 1948. He is Danish and had a career as a harmonica player with the group Funk Rock War. He moved to the United States at the age of 17 and later founded, after a career as a musician, his own company.
